as usually, every month Indonesia Beauty Blogger as known as IBB has an event, and yes it's Makeup Challenge
and this month, IBB featuring Make Over Indonesia dare you to take a part in this Makeup Challenge with theme "Find your color signature". Details here 
 Well, at first saw this, I don't know a thing what to do, hihihii
I love red, and I think red is my color signature
but if only red the colors I put on my face, I think it will be a bit weird :(

and I think again, what I love the most about the colors, and yes I love bright colors

so my colors signature is "Bright Colors"

and Make Over Indonesia has this beautiful palette. Contained matte, pigmented, and bright colors. Woowwwwwwww I love it

I made this look last minute before the makeup challenge closed
and because I made this look in the evening, so my digital camera took the photos with flash
so the photos a little bit different with the actual look I made
(and oh yeah I had pimples too. the flash make my pimples a little bit disappear #LOL)

actually I use pink fuschia and purple color in the outer V, and gold in the middle of my eyelids
but in photos it's like red with yellow in the middle of my eyelids
oke never mind
at least I try my best to make this look ^^

Yesterday, my besties Linda ask me to doing makeup on her. I'm so excited to try, hihihi... She is my besties since we're in elemenntary school. And now she is bride to be, the wedding party will be held next month, how time goes so fast :(



This smokey eyes I always doing in every kind of eyes shape. I think it's very easy. Because it's only need a black and brown matte eyeshadow. And here is her transformation, what do you think? ;)

Beauty Workshop

Last week, i decided to organize a small beauty workshop at my uni, with the gals from my beloved organization of course. I wanna share everything i know to those gorgeous ladies, because they're new and probably don't have any idea how hectic gonna be if we're having a concert. And if they can apply stage make up properly.
Of course i'm not getting paid for it, so it's another Thank You Project, but let's just call it sharing, shall we? :)

I thought one session is not enough to tell them everything, we just had one and half an hour to do this workshop because they're practising afterward. So the curriculum was, knowing the type of their skin, what products and tools is necessary for daily and stage make up, and what to complete if they already had make up, sharing tips, do's and don'ts (trick) on make up, and of course as requested a make over session.

Only less than 30 people attended, because some of them were still in class, but we had fun! We laughed, we shared, and teasing the model. Oh my bundle of joy...

I asked them, who would want a make over. As expected, they pointed this funny girl, we laughed every single moment from cleansing her face even untill the very last minute. Such a funny girl she is, i have to stopped her from laughing because the eyeshadow fall over everywhere, literally, she couldn't keep quite, everytime i put something she giggled. Such a funny girl.

I heart her, and i was gonna made her eyes pop out with bright color, but the rest of the girls requested a smokey look, heavy smokey look, and i have to do it, as requested. But to soften a bit, i just put blue, and silver also white eyeshadow, i don't wanna drown her eyes.

This look is far for perfect, as always it is always in a rush with these girls, because after i put something, they were very excited and ask lots of question. And i have to answer them, so we stop and start again until finish. By the time i wanna do the finishing, the rest of the choir member was arrived and the room had to be use for choir practise. I have to satisfied with this.
And i truly expect insight from you guys, what to improve. It will mean a lot for me. Thank you in advance my fantabulous ^^

I forgot to take the back side, i just made a simple french twist, because for concert usually the hair is getting an updo so the ladies wouldn't feel so hot and look more elegant.

But for a round shape of face like her, when the hair is down looks better i think. I grab her picture from Facebook (already asked for permission don't worry :D).

Make Over - Sheina

Okay movin on to Sheina's photo.
Funny story, i only got 15 mins to do her make up, not to mention have to touch up other's make up because it was last call before all the singers went on stage and perform  *nail biting*
The only thing that made me feel graceful is this taught me how to manage myself under pressure! I have to calm down and do my best so my client(s) won't dissapointed. That is the key of services rite? Consumer's Satisfaction.
I decided to open up her eyes, by giving her inner corner a touch of shimmery white eye shadow, not too sparkling tho' afraid it's gonna be look oily. Just a simpe pat motion with flat eye shadow brush on her inner corner, and black, white, grey eye shadow on her eyes. I put a light store black eye liner on her lower lash line also, but didn't have time to put some mascara. This is the best that i could do in 15 mins approx. Poor her :(

Last Sunday Gig

Hai dearies, i injured myself. I don't know the English for that, but my left foot "keplitek" last week. Caused me a lot of problem for 2 days i couldn't walk, gives a serious pain when i went up and downstair T-T
Yeah, clumsy me. For my defense i got minus 7 on my eyes tho' ;p

And i have a gig last Sunday, my beloved Maranatha Christian University Choir was having a Christmas concert, so some of the girl asked me to do their make up.

As you my fellow dear blogger that been with me since the beginning of my beauty journal would know, but for some new readers may be have no clue at all.

So the rundown of the concert was, 19:30 PM and got 2 session, and 15 minutes break after first session. And they will have a rehearsal before, usually at 13:00 or 14:00 PM. And it takes probably 1 or 2 hours to practice each session which made it was very short time to do make up, because they have to eat before the concert and doing last warming on stage before finally get on the stage. Complicated huh? Tell me about it, been there done that :)

I did these beautiful girlies make up, Mentari, Sheina, Remsi, Dinda, Natalie, Dushi, and last but not least Cindy's make up.

I'm still collecting the rest of the photo's and will start with Mentari first altho i still try to find Mentari with her concert dress. 

Around 13:30 PM, sadly all my girlies showed up LATE (i told them to start at 12.00)! I hate that, well... probably because they have no clue at all how hectic the concert was. I didn't blame them, but i hate rushing when i did my make up. As result of they being late, i only did Dushi and Mentari make up for less than 15 mins, can you guys imagine. I'm so sad, i couldn't do any better on their lovely faces.

Really Beauty on Budget

For the money savers out there.

I got the question a lot, how to do make up with less budget. And i really need to practice again after 3 month didn't do any make up at all on me either on someone else. I decided to do this post, anyway my friends already remind me about my absence on blogging so here you go...

The tips that i got from my own experience that i hope can help you guys figure it out.

1. Know your skin type and choose the right skin care, make up is easier to applied on healthy skin
2. Choose carefully for the foundation and match the shade with your skin tone
3. Choose the decorative products on neutral color, and add some bright color to your collection. ex : you can get a nice neutral brown eyeshadow quad and can get some pink, blue or black eyeshadow to add in your collection. You can experiment on the color, but neutral always is the best choice
4. Get yourself a good primer for face and primer for eyes.
5. And remember less is more, you don't have to put on everything on your face while doing make up, if you go bold on eyes make sure you make everything else is light. 

I got 2 models, meet Melinda and Melan. Melinda asked for make up that Korean and Japanese looks like and Melan asked for more lady rocker look but not too gothic. Both asked for easy 15 minutes make up (of course budgeted).

Didn't read any blush on and eyebrow pencil? Yes, i didn't use any. I used the lipstick and applied it like i applied cream blush, with finger and blend it. For the eye brow i use dark chocolate eye shadow and brush to applied them.

Only false lashes that missing in both of this look i think. If use false lashes the eyes will pop out.

Short Posting on Make over...

I did Jessie's make up again for Jakarta concert (Bandung make over on this post ). And she wants to wear a bright fuschia color but she didn't like the result, so we stick on the BOLD red lips. I did several changing on her eye make up, too bad there's no close up picture. Because i was dizzy, i was doing her make up on the bus from Bandung to Jakarta. And i got vertigo after, standing behind the driver and the moving bus plus focuss was't easy apparently hiks....
So thanks to some friends that upload her pics, i can show u guys her look... Comments are welcome, as a learning process for me.

All products i used is the same with previous make over, just use different color on eye shadow, and this time i blend it well :D (brown, cream, white for inner corner and highlight).

Prom Night Look and Hair Do (edited)

Well.. for teenager out there, be happy. It's prom time.. and time to DOLLED UP.
I got 4 clients on early May (actually more but because my friend that usually helped me doing the hair do if i got several client couldn't make it on that day so i have to reject some -it's better to take few clients but they're satisfied rather than having lots of money by taking more clients but in the end no one is happy - my very own wisdom of quality control- hihihi...), they're going to PROM at Savoy Homan Hotel (In Bandung, West Java) and the show begin at 4PM. So it's like afternoon gig, but it's usually late.
Who wants to be the first to arrived at prom, i think there's only guardian parents and teacher that do so :D everybody usually come late rite? The theme of the prom they're attending was "Movie"

Somehow they remind me to a song "Beyonce - All the Single Ladies"  hhihihi...

Trying to find all the detail of the hair do, but couldn't at least not from the back like i wanted to show you ladies *hiks* so here's the close up from them... not the best shoot, since i was busy doing all the make up and hair do i didn't even bother to take pics or remind someone to take it for me...

They came up one hour and 30 mins late around 1PM, because of traffic and they decided to come to my place with a cab instead of using their own vehicle (because i charge for transportation fee if i'm going to do make up in clients house, since i don't have any vehicle), i was complaining because it means there's another hectic moment doing their make up and hair do, which i really really don't like doing make up in a rush. Make up especially eyes, needs detail and every shape of face and eyes need certain "tricks".
I did their hair do first, and after all of the hair was done i started with their make up. And because they came up late, i only did their eye make up for like 15-20 minutes each (ARGHHH)...
First i apply moisturizer - primer - foundation - TWC/Loose Powder - False Lashes - Eyebrow - Eye Make Up - Cheek - Lipstick. After all the clients done, i did the final retouch, such as adding lipgloss (because i told them to eat a little while waiting, to prevent them from empty stomach at prom), adding powder and fixing the un-even anything :)

I didn't feel satisfied for the make up, but from the feed back that i got from them, they said they're happy and all their friends were saying they look good. Ah, thanks God.. i got another satisfied clients.

She's wearing braces, and her hair is so long and soft and thick, i decided to go with simple curl because she's sweet and i don't want her end up older than she is, and she asked for simple make up for the face.I did her hair with hair straightener, and since her hair is so thick, it took about half an hour just to curl and couple more minutes to do the rest (half up do).

She wants Adele's hair do on her newest video clip, so i gave it to her and soft smokey eyes because her dress is already got pimped, she got herself a vintage belt from her sister collection while her sister was on junior high school, nice! And the smokey eyes matches her nice cute ZARA pumps - i want that pumps, badly-

She has a big curly hair, too bad i didn't took a picture before i did the hair do. And she asked for simple up do because she wants to wear the hair accesories that she take with her that day. A cute nice hair accesories. And didn't has any request on her face, so i give her a nice fresh look.

I love her hair, so bouncy and yet big curl. We stuck a bit long decided what type of hair do, because she's not convenient with her back and wants the hair to be put just like that, and i disagree. I think we can "hide" her back yet still give hear a look that "cover" the shape of the face. And finally she likes it, and i went a bit heavy on her eyes, because i think she can handle that :) and apparently she nail it. She's the fastest that i did that day, less than 15 minutes i think.. i reckon that because they already got picked up by one of the girl's sister which means we're LATE already..
