MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO HANG OUT in Jakarta.

As you guys know, i don't have a social life since i worked in Jakarta <= anyone believe this? Hihihi...

But it's true, sometimes i have to stay late at office that i'm so tired  even to do anything else. But as always, i made the effort to met my besties at least once or twice a week. And that was comforting.

You know my mood booster, right Fantabulous? My shoes, my dress, my make up, my besties, my coffee, my music.

Anyway, if you are with your besties anywhere will do, right?

But my current favourite place, or course from one of my favourite "SocialTrepreneur Giant!" Ismaya Group.

They have two new places, SKYE 56 and FOOK YEW (dying to try their famous bubble tea there).

I've been to SKYE since the first day it was open. Dated there <3, Laugh there, Hang out with my besties there.

The view is to die for, if you live in a jungle that full with giant building like Jakarta. Kinda reminds me of Bandung a little bit, i love it at sunset to night especially. I can see all the light from the open air lounge. The light kinda reminds me of jewel.

The food? Oh please, you have to ask? Sushi Groove, Pizza Ebirra, Pasta De Waraku, SOHO at Grand Indonesia, Kitchenette? How was the food and beverages there? Nah, even better at SKYE because it gets chill sometimes, gets you hungry hahaha <= excuse my poor logic Fantabulous.

I even heard some friends said they have to made reservation in advance to get in there. Oppsiee... book your table now hey!!! And get ready for the unforgettable experience.

Horrible Hair

Please don’t get disgusted just yet!

I’m having hair problem. Yes this is the longest hair I’ve ever experience since high school, which is.. OK, smarties.. if I reveal you all will know how old I am. No WAY! LOL….

Well… back to the problem, the pictures tells a thousand words. That is what happening every time I wash my hair. GROSS to the max! And I can’t cheat and told my friends that it was theirs because I have my own bathroom  at my boarding house >.<

I got a lot of advice actually, to cut my hair, to layer it, to smoothing it, and even to cut it short!

All of that leave me to confusion, what should I do. I’m tired of cleaning my bathroom, every single day.. due to the hair fall. And my room always seems dirty because the hair fall out everywhere even on my beloved Leopard carpet. Hiks..

I tried so many products, but the shampoo work well on my scalp, but dries my hair. The conditioner works well but my scalp got itchy like hell. 

Since I’m already working, I really want to get this problem solve ASAP. You all know I like to look good and smells good from head to toe.

I did some research actually, hair loss can be cause by lots of factors such as stress, pollution, lack of nutrition etc. But really I don’t want to bored you with that.

I really wish there are some products that can help me solve this problem. Anyone ever experiencing the same problem? Please do share LI’d love to hear your thought and this is serious. Hair is a big deal for me, Ladies..

Review & Swatch : L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick #371 Pink Passion

Holla, i used to be such a lip gloss addict! But lately i found out 4 lipstick on my daily beauty case, eh?

Don't know how they end up there, LOL. From Red to Coral, to Nude color.
And since bright make up or lips so happening right now. i want to join the party too.

Let's talk about my lips condition first, i assume i am allergic to beeswax since i easily get chappy lips even when i used lip butter/ lip balm that has beeswax on it's ingredients.

Therefore i am super careful when choosing my lipstick. No matter what the BA said i always tried the lipstick before buying (clean it first of course, and apply with my finger when i am trying at store). After eating and walking around, i usually made the decision. Buy or Not Buy.

I am in love with Dian Sastro's picture at L'Oreal Paris Indonesia FB Page http://facebook.com/LOrealParisID she looks different, and i noticed, the make up, especially the lips makes her looks stunning. And guess what? Hihihi.. i got me one! Yeayy... The exact same lipstick like Dian Sastro is using, Color Riche Pink Passion # 371.

Let's on to review shall we?

Texture : Smooth, love it! Glides well on my lips.
Smell : Checked, not too bubly perfumey but has a bit of  fresh bubble gum scent.
Intensity : Excelent, one swatch is all you got.
Longevity : If not eating, it stays for 2-3 hours.
Price : Rp 105.000 ( Approx. $10)

 I think this color looks good both on NC and NW undertone. Don't you Ladies?

And what i think L'Oreal can improve in the future about this lipstick are the moisturizer thingy.
On first application, my lips looks moist and glossy. But after 2 hours of usage, the texture become more matte. Which is okay, especially i worked at air conditioned room.

Overall i would like to give this lipstick 8/10, quite an accomplishment for the lipgloss addict like me.

Ehem.. what is missing? MY LIPS OF COURSE... hahaha...

REVIEW : REVLON AGE DEFYING DNA ADVANTAGES SPF 20 FOUNDATION

I got this foundation few month ago, and last month Revlon send me another shade with lots of goodies. But i'm so in love with this foundation that i couldn't wait to review it with you guys.

What they claims : Contains vitamin E, vitamin B3, and  cherry extract that can prevent aging and also protect your skin. Sounds promising, right?

I use this foundation about one month, with brushes, finger, sponges. Everything went well, but i prefer using finger because the texture glides so smooth on my skin, and didn't clumps whatsoever.

Ok the verdict here, some may not like to hear "aging" thingy, but hey.. better preventing aging by taking care of your skin rather than spend much more on Botox or Laser whatsoever, LOL.

Ingredients is seriously a lot, but you can google it.

And my experience using this foundation is so far good - excellent. One of my top 5 foundation now.
But i will review this, like usual being brutally honest.

TEXTURE
Lightly creamy, i love! Easily glides on the surface of your skin. Perfect for my combination but dehydrated skin, because i work at air conditioned room everyday.

i combine two shades, but daily i used Early Tanned

APPLICATION
Checked, time saver! You guys know i'm too lazy to spend hours on make up.

STAYING POWER
Excellent. but NOTED i worked on air conditioned room. On outdoor only can last 4-5 hours and you have to set it with powder again, especially on T-Zone.

PRICE :
Quite affordable, around Rp 150,000 ($14) for 30ml of foundation.

You can also check it here It has swirl line inside, and LOVE the pump, easy to control and most importantly hygienic.

Now on to the DOWNFALL

SMELLS AWFUL, but it's because of this foundation is fragrance free. It's the bulk smell, i really hate it. But well no fragrance means less alcohol, which is actually good for our skin right?

Etiquette to Attend a Beauty Event

Hai Fantabulous,

Nice weekend, Hectic Weekdays or the other way around? Anyway I haven't got much time to enjoy "Me Time" lately. Because this is summer time, and everyone, including the beauty company are embracing "summer". Sale everywhere T-T, and beauty event everywhere (love this :D)


The problem is, for now there's only some event that held outside from Jakarta. But i have a good feeling that you all blogger that lived outside Jakarta will experience the beauty event soon.

Nah, now the question begin. Do we really need this? Why should i read this post?
Duuh.. Behaviour, Attitude? Forgot about all that things, that we've been raving about since early of this blog my Fantabulous?

Let me take you to a tour then.. Read This : "Attitude"

But that's just a mild reminder. The main issue here is, how to behave if you're invited to a beauty event?

1. RSVP the Invitation

If you can attend the event, RSVP minimum 2x24 hours before the due date. So they know if you're coming or not. And if you can not attend also let them know, so they have time to fill in your empty chair.

2. Cancellation

If you have to cancelled, please notice them at least 1x24 hours before, and best if you explain why. you can say personal stuff or anything. Respect girls, people already made effort to bring you :)

3. Dress code

If there's no dress code of the event, best to be yourself but in a polite way. As much i hate to admit, first impression is important. Dress to kill for some, or heels to kill for me LOL :p

4. Mingle

Introduce yourself to the hostess and to the other guests. If you came with your friends take you friends and mingle! It's all about building and sustaining a relationship, YES?

5. Enjoy the Party

Enjoy the party, but don't forget your aim there. If you're invited to do a review, or company related you might wanna behave and do your job. And you Fantabulous, BRING YOUR NAME CARD :)

6. Blogger Related

If you are invited to do a review as a fashion or beauty blogger, let them know when you're gonna review. If it's a week make it a week. If it's a month make it a month. If you're not gonna review, tell them, and offer a live tweet instead. Remember, they made effort to invite you. And although you contribute to their company in whatsoever source, best to bring your best behaviour (BYBB).
And always be honest with your review!

7.  Thank you Note After Party

It's a nice touch for the company/ hostess, and shows that you respect them. Won't hurt you to do an email to say thanks right?

Believe it or not, this is something that i experienced myself. I SUPER HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE CANCELED AND NO NITIFICATION on LAST MINUTE! Seriously!!!!

I won't tell why and how, but that bugged me, and i thought i will do a mild reminder or "How to react on an Invitation"
Also it will be nice for the company for not notify us, beauty bloggers ON LAST MINUTE TOO ^^.

Graftobian High Defenition Foundation Palette in Neutral

You all know how much i like a good complexion. And this one is amazingly surprising for my liking. Heard so many good things about this foundation, and since this is one of the TOP 5 foundation reccommendation from Goss Make Up Artist, i’m excited to share with you my experience with this love.

First, i have two more palette coming, see how much i like this? :D

I use this for my clients, use this on day and night, sunshine and rain. Used, Tested, Approved.

Let’s get to know this foundation better shall we?

First impression

To light for my liking, when i swatch it.

After several times of using, with different application here’s my final thought.

• With finger : Melted in your hand, not a bad thing but somehow i didn’t like it anymore. Why? Time Consuming, since i’m a working lady now, every minutes counts. Late to the office is a big NO NO, agree? The result when using finger, is more tricky. It glides well, sure. But for some area you really need time to make sure everything is covered.

With sponges :

• Egg Sponge

Blended easily, as well as the rest of the foundation amount get absorbed to the sponge easily. So this is a love and hate relationship. The plus is, with the shape of this sponge, you can reach the area that is hard to apply when you’re using finger. For me is the wide cheek,LOL.

• Sponge

Blend easlily too, and same with the egg sponge. Love and hate.

• Stippling Brush

Fast. Fast. FAST! Need anymore reason? Blended nicely, buildable.

My favourite application when using this foundation

• Using finger in some area, my under eye, then with stippling brush apply this to the rest of the face. Then with sponge, set the T area with loose powder.

What i love about this foundation :

• ·         HD, seriously looking good in pictures, with flash a bit tricky, some area still shine but it was due to my skin type. Combination and acne prone, and because i didn’t touch up, remember i’m the “Lazy to Touch up kinda GIRL”.
• ·         CHEAP, duuh? LOL...
• ·         Staying power superb! Working 9-6 sometimes 7 and hang out after for dinner (waiting for trafficwar to be ended before went home). Anymore prove you need? Mind me “ojekking” to office, and lunch have to run around the crossing bridge sometimes walked around 10 minutes, make it 20 minutes to back and forth in the humid weather of Jakarta.
• ·         Buildable, want a sheer coverage? Can do.. Medium coverage can do,too. Heavy, have to added compact/ setting powder. With this foundation, i don’t think it’s neccessary to add TWC to set it. Too much, and will ruin the HD thingy, you might look too “make up”.
• ·         Lots of shade to choose, you can choose the exact shade for your face.

HATE :

• ·         Packaging is tricky, too close with each other, sometimes it get mixed up if i were in hurry.
• ·         Didn’t cover acne scars well. HAVE TO add concealer, with i’m good with showing of some flaws. (Blah.. i was too lazy to grab my concealer from my vanity case, :p so what happened was i use the lighter shade to conceal the acne scars, sometimes).
• ·         You need to set this foundation! Serious! Loose powder will do. I think it’s was the contra from HD thingy, you can wear it alone, but sometimes it still need “something” to hold on to so it wont crease, melted, whatsoever. Or if you’re lazy you can set it with setting spray.

Update About My Life

Haven’t blogged for more than one month now. Of course i have excuse for it dear Pretties, in case you’re curious.

Let’s just say i’m having a big fight with my “IdioTech” (Idiot in Technology).

I’m such a dumb dumb when it comes to computer, and the software and the tools. You all know that right? But life apparently have a BIG sense of humour. It humoured me with my current JOB.

Yes, you didn’t read it wrong. I’m officially working ladies now. Battling my super comfort zone, working freelance. Now it’s 9-5, so long my long nap. LOL...

I’m working as Community Manager now, for Netbooster. Googling if you are clueless. With this new range of carreer (we don’t have this carreer section back in 10 years ago, i believe) in social media really open my eyes to a lot of things, how may times you’re whining about no internet connection, shitty phone services, and stuff? It’s important to have someone who customized your need with digital world. For digital world is the new “Doraemon’s Door” now, you can do everything online. Making friends, shopping, meet your soulmate, duuuh...;p

I’m so busy adapting with my new “family and TEAM”, learned so much stuff, analyzing tools, managing a community, transporting number into words. Seriously, i won’t survive if my office mates and my bosses weren’t being so kind assisting me with everything. Thank you guys..

In mean time, how about Indonesian Beauty Blogger (IBB)? Am sure you all read about our first gathering from the rest of blogger.. Yes, i’m lucky to have the job that pays the bills and the job that feed the soul at the same time. Me and the rest of the staff are busy arranging, meeting, and inviting, also reccomending the bloggers to attend beauty event to enrich our experiences so that we can do better on the things that we love, BLOG.

I just have that in mind that there’s so many new bloggers that seems just to follow trend, sometimes don’t event review things in the right way. I’m also still learning, let’s grow together shall we? Keep challenging ourself to do better is important, don’t stuck in your comfort zone. You might get surprised of how far people already ahead of you.

I have reach my short term goal for my life and for IBB. Now working my ass off to think, translate, plan, executing the long term goal.

I am taking baby step, settling everything down. Hope it falls to its pieces soon, can’t do this without you guys keep showering love to me, you know.. so thanks also for my dear Fantabulous that sincerely email me asking how am i doing. That’s one of the things that keep me sane and have strenght to stand still alone in this city you called, Jakarta J
